The three Hyltons are children of Elizabeth’s sister Mary, who died in April 1851. Her husband Jeremiah Slusher remarried about 1855, his second wife also named Mary, but he did not keep the children of his first marriage.

The preceding household is headed by Samuel Richardson who is married to their daughter Valeria, and the following household is headed by James Byrd who is married to their daughter Huldah.
