1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky, West Liberty precinct, enumerated 8 June, lists on p. 5A as family #87/89:
Caskey, Eles, 26, b. Dec 1874, farmer; Amanda, wife, 23, b. Aug 1876, married 7 years, mother of 2 children, 2 living; Willie, son, 6, b. Feb 1894; Jessie, dau, 1, b. Dec 1898. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Note that the reported age and birthdate are inconsistent for Ellis. It is the age that is correct and the birth year wrong.
The next household is Ellis’ widowed mother, living alone, incorrectly recorded as Eddie Caskey, male, single, age 70, b. May 1830, Ky Va Ky. The household after that is headed by his brother Castle, and the one after Castle by their brother Oliver.
1910 census of Morgan Co., Ky, West Liberty precinct, enumerated 29 April, lists on p. 9B as family #173/183:
Caskey, Ellis, 37, farmer; Manda L., wife, 34, first marriage for both, married 17 years, mother of 2 children, 2 living; Willie A., son, 16; Jossie M., dau, 11; Edith, mother, 79, widowed, mother of 7 children, 5 living. All born Ky Ky Ky.
The census taker may have misheard Edy’s name, or just assumed that it was short for Edith. The number of children for her is way low. I don’t know what it corresponds to. The preceding household is headed by Ellis’s brother Castle Jr.
