Bath Co., Ky death records list Samuel Shrout, age 53, died 24 Aug 1855, cause of death dropsy. The three lines above are for the deaths of William (25), Levi (18), and Thomas (31) Arrasmith, sons of Amasa “Massie” Arrasmith (and Elizabeth Kerns), and in the parents column for Samuel the recording clerk has accidentally entered one two many ditto lines, making it appear that he is also one of Massa Arrasmith’s sons.

Bath Co., Ky marriage records list the marriage on 24 Dec 1824 of Hester Fitzgarld and Samuel Shrout.

1850 census of Bath Co., Ky, division 2, enumerated 8 Aug, lists on pp. 49-50 as family #337:
Samuel Shrout, 47, farmer; Hetty, 46, Dudley, 20; Barbary, 12; Thomas, 10; Washington, 8. All born in Kentucky.

Dudley is also recorded redundantly on page 34 with the family of Ambrose L. Wright and Catherine Moore (#233) as a farm hand.
