A death notice in the Logansport Press of Saturday, April 16, 1949 reported:
“Barbara Jean Brown 3 Dies
Private funeral services for Barbara Jean Brown, three and one-half year old daughter of John and Lena Utterback Brown, will be this afternoon at the chapel. The child died at p.m Thursday at the residence on route 4 after a five weeks illness. Survivors are the parents, five sisters and five brothers: Josie, Eula, Betty, Patty and May, James, Chester, Thomas, William, and Ron, the grandparents Mrs Florence Brown route 3, Royal Center and James Utterback, Salt Lake, Ky.”
