His death certificate records Eugene Duvall, age 67 years 9 months 7 days, born 21 June 1870 in Kentucky, died 30 Mar 1938 in Carter Co., Ky, married, husband of Anna Duvall, father Capt. A. V. Duvall, born in N. Carolina, mother’s maiden name Rebecca Porter, born in Va, cause of death carcinoma of prostate gland, informant Mrs. Anna Duvall, Hitchens, Ky, burial in Russel Chapel.
Notes for Anna Watters Kendall
In her sister Nettie’s obituary in 1934, she was reported as a surviving sister, Mrs. Anna DeVault of Hitchins, Ky.
Notes for Eugene & Anna Watters (Family)
There is a stone in Russell Chapel cemetery with birth and death dates for Eugene and their two daughters Vivian and Nora who died at birth, and Anna’s name and birth date, but there is no death date for Anna. Nor can I find her in the Kentucky or Wisconsin death records. She probably remarried after Eugene died, and may be buried with her second husband.

Emma and Grace are daughters of Annie’s brother Joe, who died in 1915, and his wife Hester. Hester was still living, listed with her mother as widowed, but apparently she could not support her children without a husband.
