Her gravestone has the years 1889-1957, but the 1900 census recorded her as age 13, born Oct 1886, and the 1910 census as age 23. (She seems to have started reporting her age as younger after marrying Lonnie Fraley, who was younger than her.)

Hester was 17 when she married Joe Kendall; she has apparently interpreted the question as her age at the beginning of the current marriage.
