“Reba E. (Ison) Lewis, 93, of Hanover, Indiana and formerly of Trafalgar, Indiana passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Thornton Terrace in Hanover.
She was born August 23, 1918 in Charity, Kentucky to William and Nanie (Griffith) Ison. She married Addie M. Lewis on October 20, 1942; he preceded her in death on January 13, 1987.
Survivors include her grandchildren Lela Michele Dews (Bryan) of Hanover, Indiana, D. Scott Lewis (Traci) of Haubstadt, Indiana, Amanda Danielle Rector (Dan) of Trafalgar, and Tonja Rae Taylor (James) of Argyle, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Whitney Michele Burnes (Sean) of Hanover, Kinglsey Danielle Dews of Madison, Indiana, Dax Taylor and Dylan Taylor of Argyle, Texas, and Jeremiah Dane Rector and Caleb Lewis Rector both of Trafalgar; and three great-great-grandchildren, Ava Barnes, Aeryonna Daniel Meals, and Sean Gavin Barnes; and a daughter-in-law, Lela Sue Lewis of Trafalgar. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son A. Daryl Lewis on November 21, 2008, daughter Sharon Kay West on January of 2001, two brothers Kim Ison and Lynn Ison, and three sisters Opal Newsome, Mildred Ison, and infant Cassie Ison. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, November 28, 2011 at 1 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery, 171 South Mason Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Franklin, Indiana is handling the arrangements.”
