Cassity, age 74 years 4 months 20 days, born 24 July 1838 in Ky, died 14 Dec 1912 in Panthers Branch precinct, Morgan Co., Ky, widowed, occupation “had none”, father Isaac Cassity, mother’s maiden name Loucinda Ellington, both born in Ky, cause of death chronic valvular heart disease, informant blank, burial in Cassity Graveyard.

I cannot find him in the 1870 census.

1880 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Christy Creek precinct, enumerated 1 June, lists on p. 46 as family #315/338:
Ramy, Miles E., 35, physician, b. Va Va Va; Susan J., 36, wife, b. Ky N.C. N.C.; James R., 16, son; Lucinda A., 10, dau; John A., 7, son; Susan C., 5, dau; Miles E., 1, son. All children born Ky Va Ky. Cassity, Edward W., 42, boarder, widowed, carpenter, b. Ky Ky Ky.

He is recorded with his youngest brother Jesse in the 1900 census as Ed W. Cassity, age 63, b. May 1838, widowed, and in 1910 as Med W. Cassity, age 72, widowed.

She was recorded in the 1850 census of Fleming Co. as Elizabeth Mary Nickell, age 3, and in the 1860 census of Rowan Co as Elizabeth age 14.

Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 1, p. 6, records the marriage on 11 Jan 1881 of Edmund W. Cassity and Elizabeth M. Page, bond surety by Jas. W. Johnson.
