M. Hendrix, Mt. Sterling, R. 4, burial in Oldfield Cemetery.

1870 census of Pendleton Co., Ky, precinct 4, enumerated 6 July, lists on p. 38 with the family of Eli Bonar age 65 and wife Polly age 44:
Hendricks, Kate, 30; Marcus L., 7. Both born in Kentucky.

1880 census of Pendleton Co., Ky, district 3, enumerated 14 June, lists on p. 18 as family #150/158:
Hendricks, Kitty A., 40, keeps house, widowed; Joseph Marcus, son, 18, farmer; Levi, son, 8. Ellis, Sallie, 7, relationship blank.

Note that Levi was born about ten years after Kate’s husband Joseph Hendricks died. So unless she was married to another Hendricks husband in the 1870’s, he must have been born out of wedlock.
