Her obituary reported:
“While all the world was wrapped in the stillness of night, the silent Angel of Death entered the peaceful home of Jarrett M. Stull on Thursday eve, Aug. 6th, and robbed it of a precious jewel in the person of his loving wife, Mary W., after a week of intense suffering, and when she realized that death was near she was ready and willing to meet the Creator. When the hands of time pointed to the hour of 11
Then the Angel paused no longer,
Fanned her with his cooling breath,
Touched her weary heart and stopped it,
Stopped it with the peace of Death.
Mrs. Mary Wills Stull was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wills and was born near Olympia, Bath Co., Ky, about 43 years ago. She was a member of the Christian church and was a true Christian woman. On January 22d, 1901, she was united in marriage to Jarrett M. Stull, who survives her. The remains were interred in the Wills burying ground near Olympia Aug 7th. The people of this community extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved husband and relatives.”
