Butler, Charley, 45, widowed, age at first marriage 23, farmer; Ellen G., dau, 17, single; Parson, Jr. Lee, grandson, 1/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Ellen is probably really divorced rather than single, since Lee Jr. was given his father’s surname, and that was not typical for out-of-wedlock births in those days. But it is possible. (Lee was also recorded as single, with his parents.)
