Her death certificate records Nancy Rice, age 64 years 5 months 16 days, born 8 Aug 1847 in Kentucky, died 24 Jan 1912 in Maddox precinct, Carter Co., Ky, widowed, father Robt Tackett, mother’s maiden name Williams, both born in Kentucky, cause of death senile pneumonia, informant Rachael Parsons, Cresco, Ky, burial in Blankenship Graveyard.

In 1880 Nancy and the girls are living with her parents (see their notes for details), recorded as married, but her husband is not with her:

1900 census of Carter Co., precinct #2, enumerated 15 June, lists on p. 10A as family #144/155:
Rice, Nancy, 54, b. Aug 1856, widowed, mother of 4 children, 2 living, house servant; Michal, son, 9, b. Dec 1890. Both born Ky Ky Ky.
Note that the age and reported birth date for Nancy would add up to 1910. The age is correct, and the birthdate is off by a decade.They are sharing a dwelling number with the family of Elijah Woolford age 49 and wife Easter age 48 and their 6 children, at household #144/154, who may be Nancy’s employers.
In 1910 Nancy is living in Elliott Co. with her nephew James (son of her brother James), while Michael is living in Carter Co. with the same George and Esther Wolford that they were both living with in 1900:

James, Permilia and Betty are Fannie’s chidren from her first marriage. Nancy is James’ wife.
In 1880 Nancy is listed with her parents and two children, recorded as married. I do not know where James is.
