“Addie “Pearl” Stephens, 71, of Shiloh, died Sunday evening, November 5, 2006, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 12, 1934, in Morehead, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William J. and Addie L. (Royce) Nickell. She was an area homemaker, avid gardener and quilter as well as a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by five children, Roy (Diane) Stephens of Mansfield, Mary Jane (Brad) Noblet of Bellville, Charlotte (Jim) Cunningham of Willard, William (Sharon) Stephens and Alice (Greg) Little, all of Plymouth; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Maxine) Nickell of Mansfield; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Norman and Luella Fox of Shiloh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John E. Stephens in 1995, two sisters, Olla Mae Alfrey, and twin sister, Callie Jarvis, and three brothers, Robert, Acy and Carl Nickell.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 9 at the funeral home with Pastor Jay Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.”
