A notice in the Modesto Bee of Wednesday, Aug 1, 1923 reported:
“Death claimed Edna Louisa Quisenbery last night. The little 5-year-old girl died from a fractured skull which she sustained when she was run down by a delivery truck driven by Arthur Dillon, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dillon. Dillon was exonerated of all blame, since the child ran suddenly in froont of his truck before he could swerve aside. Funeral arrangements have not been announced by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Quisenbery, parents of the child.”
(Her gravestone spells her name the usual way, as Quesenberry.)
