The Pekin, Illinois city directory lists Laban H. Skaggs, carpenter, with wife Marie living at 273 Derby St. in 1928, at 215 Maple St. in 1930, and at 335 South St. in 1932 through 1941. (In 1934 and 1937 his wife’s name is recorded as F. Marie Skaggs.)
In the 1946 directory, Laban is recorded at the 335 South St. address, as an employee of SB Inc, with no wife. Neither Laban nor Marie is listed in the 1950 directory. In the 1955 directory, Laban is back at the 335 South St. address, but with a wife named Bertha.
