“Corbie L. Alfrey, 64, died early Thursday, August 16, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born August 4, 1948 in Morehead, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Corbie and Velma (Donohue) Alfrey.
He was a former area business owner and real estate agent. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan. Corbie most loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Reva S. (Harding) Alfrey; a son, Kevin Alfrey (Cristine Thompson of Cummings, GA; two step daughters, Cynthia Stepp (Joe Followay) and Icie (Phil) Rodgers, both of Mansfield; one step son, Jeremy (Tricia) Stepp of Lucas; four grandchildren and eleven step-grandchildren, Jake Alfrey, Desire Alfrey, Tara Miller, Corbie Alfrey, Chase Cruz, Chance Stepp, Jacob Cabell, Zachary Vanriper, Jessa Followay, Tanner Followay, Ethan Rodgers, Shaun Rodgers, Cody Thompson and Nicole Thompson; three great-grandchildren, Ayden, Gauge and Kayle; two sisters, Josie Tucker and Joyce Alfrey, both of Mansfield; a nephew, Justin Tucker; great-nieces and nephews, Hayliegh, Autumn, Kaden, and Aryian; step great-niece and nephew, Corben and Rachel; and his two canine pets, Abby and Hailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special aunt, Lou Donohue.
Friends may visit from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor David Aune officiating.”
