Census
In 1850 Rebecca and her three children are living with her parents:
1850 census of Floyd Co., Ky, enumerated 28 Aug, lists on p. 96 as family #602:
William Prater Sr., 63, farmer, b. Va; Nancy, 60, b. Va; Rebecca, 34; William W., 21, farmer; John S. Patrick, 14; Emily J. Patrick, 13; Mary E. Prater, 1. All except John and Nancy born in Ky.
(There are four other Prater households on the page, all headed by young men aged 22 to 26.)
1860 census of Morgan Co., Ky, division 2, West Liberty P.O., enumerated 3 July, lists on p. 27 as family #171:
John S. Patrick, 23, farmer, b. Ky; Elizabeth, 26, b. Tenn; Mary E., 10; Nancy E., 8; William D., 5; Thomas B., 2; Rebecca Patrick, 43. There are dittos in the birth place column for everyone after Elizabeth, making it appear that they were all born in Tennessee, but the intent was probably to put Ky on Mary E.’s line, and the census taker forgot.
Mary E. and Nancy E. are Rebecca’s children born after her divorce from Brice Patrick; William and Thomas are children of John S. Patrick and his wife Elizabath.
1870 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Black Water precinct, enumerated 1 Sep, lists on p. 19 as family #126/124:
Prater, Rebecca, 51; Emeline, 18. Both born in Kentucky.
1880 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Hampton’s Mill precinct, district 87, enumerated 2 June, lists on p. 3 as household #20:
Patrick, Rebecca, 61, widowed, b. Ky Ky Ky. The preceding household is headed by Rebecca’s daughter Mary, and the next household is headed by Bettie Patrick, widow of her son John.
