The Kentucky birth index lists Lowe U. Stacy, born 6 Aug 1914 in Morgan Co., mother’s maiden name Nicie Haney.
In the 1930 census, she was recorded as Treva Stacy, age 16. (I have not found her parents’ family in the 1920 census.)
The SSDI lists Treva Eunice Stamper, born 6 Aug 1914, died 25 May 2008, last residence Mansfield, Richland Co., Ohio.
Her obituary in the Mansfield News Journal reported:
“Treva Stamper, 93, died Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Mifflin Care Center.
Treva was born Aug. 6, 1914, in West Liberty, Ky., to William and Elizabeth (Haney) Stacey, and lived in Mansfield the last 70 years. She was a member of the Christian Life Center and was devoted to the Bible and loved to share her scripture.
Treva is survived by her children, Dolores (Bernie) Fernandez of Ontario, William (Teresa) Hunter of West Liberty, Ky., Robert (Bonnie) Hunter of West Salem and Kathy (Robert) Zimmerman of Mansfield; step-children, Lois (Junior) Armstrong of Shelby, Goldie Wireman of Shiloh, Della (Joe) Stepp of Shelby, David (Elsie) Stamper of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren, Bernie (Margot) Fernandez Jr. of Columbus, Anthony (Lisa) Fernandez of Ontario, John Fernandez of Seattle, Wash., Tammy (Jerry) Lunsford of Perrysville, Tonya Pompey of Charleston, S.C. and Jamie (Tina) Hunter of Cape Coral, Fla., Nicole (Jon) Duncan of Mansfield and Meggan Roberts of Mansfield; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Dolores Meyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Hunter; second husband, William Stamper; two infant children; step-sons, Frank and Dallas Stamper and grandson, Christopher Roberts.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. May 27, 2008, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Mark Meyer and the Rev. Gary Hunt. Burial will be held Mansfield Memorial Park.”
