Her obituary in the Champaign, Illinois News-Gazette of April 2, 1973 reported:
“POTOMAC - Mrs. Ella Selsor, 92, of Potomac, died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday (March 31, 1973) at the Danville Lakeview Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lanham Funeral Home, Potomac, with Dale Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Potomac Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Selsor was born Feb. 21, 1881 at Salt Lick, Ky., a daughter of Abel and Amanda Crawford. She married James Lewis in 1927, who preceded her in death. In 1943 she married John Selsor, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alma Trittigoe, Wilmington; three sons, Victor Lewis, Potomac, Dale Lewis, Moorhead, Ky., and Dean Lewis, Geneva, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Iva Love, Robinson; 16 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren. Two daughters, a son, a sister and three brothers also preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Potomac Church of Christ.”
(The reference to marrying James Lewis in 1927 is an error. Based on the censuses, they married in late 1900 or early 1901. It was apparently intended to say that he preceded her in death in 1927.)
