Her death certificate records Mary Katherine Jones, age 65, born April 1859 in Ky, died 23 Apr 1924 in Buzzard Roost precinct, Nicholas Co., Ky, single, father Michael Smith, mother’s maiden name Hettie Goodpaster, both born in Ky, cause of death Bright’s Disease, informant Harry Johnson, Moorefield, Ky, burial in Goddard, Fleming Co., Ky.
Her gravestone (an old one) spells her name as Kathrine Jones and gives her birth date as 23 Apr 1858, but it is in conflict with the birth record.
The marital status is incorrect; she should be listed as widowed. The informant is her son-in-law, Alice’s husband.

Notes for Thomas & Mary Katherine (Family)
This family is in my database primarily to document the parents of James M. Jones who married my 5C3R Phoebe Ann Ingram. Since Thomas died before 1900 and the family was scattered, it is necessary to document their daughter Alice’s marriage to Harry Johnson to show proof of James’ parents. (Alice was living with James and Phoebe in the 1940 census, recorded as his sister.)

1880 census of Fleming Co., Ky, Hillsboro precinct, enumerated 26 June, lists on p. 41 as family #363/365:
Jones, Thomas, 47, laborer; Kate, 25, wife; Addie, 6, dau; Alice, 1, dau. All born Ky Ky Ky.
I have not found either Thomas or Mary in the 1900 census. Thomas was probably deceased by then.
In 1910 Mary Katherine is recorded with their daughter Alice and her husband:
