This couple is in my database because my 5th cousin 3 times removed Phoebe Ann Ingram was living with them in the 1910 census, along with her soon-to-be husband James M. Jones, and I got curious as to whether there was a relationship between James’ mother Mary Katherine Smith and his employer Wiliam R. Smith. (I have not found one.)

Smith, William R., 41, b. Aug 1858, Ky Ky Ky, farmer; Margaret T., wife, 32, b. Aug 1867, married 12 years, mother of 1 child, 1 living; Kathleen, dau, 10, b. July 1889. Jones, Tim, boarder, 16, birth date blank, farm laborer. O’Garr, Rebecca, servant, 44, b June 1855, servant, widowed. All born Ky Ky Ky.
The boarder listed as “Tim Jones” is probably the same farm hand listed as “Jas Jones” in the 1910 census (see below); most likely Jim was misheard as Tim.
