1850 census of Fleming Co., Ky, district 1, enumerated 5 Aug, lists on pp. 4-5 as family #119:
Matthew Thompson, 44, b. Va, farmer; Melinda, 44; Angeline, 19; John (L. ?), 14. (illegible given name, female) Powell, 45. Evan Jackson, 22. All except Matthew born in Kentucky.

Ancestry.com has transcribed the given name of the Powell woman as Rosanna. It looks more like Evaline to me, but the entire page is so faded that only the heaviest strokes remain. E.g., all that is visible of the first letter is a curve like the southwest quarter arc of a circle, which looks very similar to the bottom of the E in Evan to me, but they have interpreted as the right leg of a swashy R. Who knows? So rather than guess at a name, I’ve just said it is illegible.

The middle initial for John has been transcribed by Ancestry as S. It could as easily be T, L or I - all that you can tell is that it has a vertical stroke. The L is from his gravestone.
