The informant has mistakenly entered Thomas’s wife’s maiden name into the mother field, apparently assuming that the form was asking for the parents of the informant rather than the parents of the deceased.

Her death certificate records Rebecka Copher, age 81 years 11 months 16 days, born 24 Feb 1852 (birth place blank), died 12 Feb 1934 in Olympia, Bath Co., marital status blank, father William Wells, born in Ky, mother’s maiden name Polley Johnson, birth place blank, cause of death pulmonary tuberculosis, informant Andy Copher, Olympia, burial in Jackson Cemetery.

This family is not directly related to me, but several of their children and grandchildren married my Clark cousins.
