His obituary reported:
“H. V. Cassity, 93, retired Grayson farmer, died at his home Monday night following an illness of three years.
He was born Nov. 7, 1866 in Morgan County, a son of the late Jeff and Amanda Smith Cassity. He was a member of the Christian Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 1 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Church near Hilda, Ky, by Rev. Delmore Cooper. Burial will be in Riddle Cemetery there under the direction of Satterly-Phillips Funeral Home.
Surviving are three sons, Clayton of Grayson, J.T. of Ashland and James of South Point, O., a daughter, Mrs. Prudie Smith of West Liberty; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.”
