“Dovie Frances Gallimore Quesenberry, 92, of Floyd, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil C. Quesenberry; cherished grandson, Brian William Quesenberry; parents, C.L. and Stella Gallimore; brothers and sisters, Cline, Leslie, Vinton, Arnie, Roxie, and Edith.
She is survived by her son, Billy and wife, Brenda, Muscle Shoals, Ala.; daughter, Kaye and husband, Tommy, Roanoke; grandson, David and wife, Kristy, Mosley, Va.; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Ella; special grandchildren, Tommy and wife,, Valerie, Mary Carroll and husband, Tad, Juliet and husband, Chris, and William; special great-grandchildren, Logan, Forrest, Emma, and Abby; sister, Isabel; brothers, Charles and wife, Oneda, Roger and wife, Erma Jean; several nieces and nephews; caregivers and companions, Judith and Jeff; her church family and many special friends.
Living for purposes unseen and greater than oneself came naturally to our mother, and prayer was always the language of her heart.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 419 Ridgeview Rd. NW, Floyd, VA 24091, with Pastor Marvin Wade, Pastor Hebron Quesenberry, and Pastor Richard Thomas officiating.
Interment to follow in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery.”
