Notes for Hannah McCarty
Do not confuse her with the Hannah McCarty of the same age who was the daughter of James David McCarty and Maud Kerrick. That one was still single living with her parents in the 1850 census, as was her first cousin Hannah McCarty born about 1835 who married David Norris.
They are probably first cousins, though, considering the given names used in the family, particularly Augustin and Hannah. Most likely Augustin McCarty and Hannah Staton had at least one son older than James who died before 1850.
