Her death certificate records Leah Kash, age 74 years 4 months 2 days, born 1 Sep 1857 in Morgan Co., Kentucky, died 3 Jan 1931 in Middletown, Butler Co., Ohio, residence 2501 North Ave, widow of Samuel Kash, father Ned Ezil, born in Ky, mother’s maiden name Irene Cubertson, both born in Ky, cause of death arteriosclerosis, informant James Kash, Middletown, Ohio, burial in Menifee Co., Kentucky.

I suspect the “Ezil” was meant to indicate that she was born in Ezel, Ky and just spilled over into the father field (which falls below the decedent’s birthplace), although it is possible that Ezel was Edward Power’s middle name.

Menifee Co., Ky marriage records list the marriage on 9 Jan 1879 of Samuel Kash and Leah C. Power.

In the 1880 census, Samuel is recorded with his parents, as age 21, married, but his wife is not in the household.
