The reported birth dates conflict with those from death certificates and grave stones for most family members.

1910 census of Menifee Co., Frenchburg precinct, enumerated 28 April, lists on p. 12A as family #193:
Gibbs, Marion L., 44, farmer; Elizabeth, wife, 54, second marriage for both, married 8 years, mother of 3 children, 1 living; William H., son, 21; Alfred, son, 16; Milliard, son, 14; Hilliard, son, 10. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The ages reported in this census for Millard and Hillard are closer to those reported in their death records, but it is likely that the 1900 census is more correct. I cannot see a 2 month old infant being mistakenly reported as three years old, but thinking of a 12 year old as 10 is quite plausible. So probably the two boys just started thinking of themselves as being younger than their real ages during childhood.
