Her obituary on the funeral home web site reported:
“BIRICH, Ethel Mae (nee: Gibbs), 91, of Lebanon, died Monday March 11, 2013. Born July 14, 1921 in Frenchburg, KY to Alfred and Anna (nee: Slusher) Gibbs, she was a 1940 graduate of Frenchburg High School.
She retired from McAlpin’s in 1983 after 13 years of service. For many years, she ran Steve’s Carryout in Hunter.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Steve Birich, one brother, Chester Gibbs and two sisters, Priscilla Schwettman and Betty Smallwood. Survivors include one son, Steven Birich of Lebanon, four daughters, Edith (Tony) Blake of Franklin, Robyn Birich of Lebanon, Linda (Paul) Osterday of Franklin, and Theresa (Steve) Cole of Lebanon, one brother, Lester Gibbs, two sisters, Ruby Kelly and Janice Conway, and three grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, and Jessica Osterday.
Visitation, Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 9-10:30 AM at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM at the St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lebanon. Father Bernard Weldishofer presiding. Interment follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Memorials requested to the New Church Fund c/o St Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
