Her death certificate records Jennie Moore Toy, age 77 years 6 months 14 days, born 19 June 1865 in Bath Co., Ky, died 2 Jan 1943 in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery Co., Kentucky, widow of William Toy, father Jefferson Moore, mother’s maiden name Mary McIlvain, both born in Ky, cause of death senile mental deterioration, informant Clell Toy, Sharpsburg, Ky, burial in Sharpsburg Cemetery.

The birth date is probably off by at least one year, possibly two. She was recorded as age 16 in the 1880 census and as age 35 born June 1864 in the 1900 census. (I have not found the Jefferson Moore family in the 1870 census.)

1900 census of Bath Co., Ky, Bethel precinct, enumerated 23 June, lists on p. 23A as family #442/444:
Toy, William, 32, b. Feb 1868, Ky Md Ky, farmer; Jennie, wife, 35, b. June 1864, Ky Va Ky, married 8 years, mother of 5 children, 5 living; Fenton, dau, 16, b. Dec 1883; Jefferson, son, 7, b. July 1892; McCleland, son, 6, b. Apr 1894; Lucy, dau, 3, b. Oct 1896; Georgie M., dau, 1, b. May 1899. All children born Ky Ky Ky. Moore, Jefferson, father-in-law, 69, b. July 1830, Va Va Va, married 40 years.

Although Jefferson is recorded as married, not widowed, he has no wife in the household.
