Notes for Lucinda Ingram
Her death certificate records Lucinda Lewis, age 95, born 1828 in Ky, died 24 Feb 1923 in Rothwell, Menifee Co., Ky, widowed, father Isack Ingram, mother’s maiden name Pop Ward, both born in Ky, cause of death old age, informant blank, burial in Lewis Graveyard.
The Isaac Ingram who married Mary “Pop” Ward, though, was born about 1822, only 6 years older than Lucinda, and his wife was about the same age. Lucinda is almost certainly instead the sister of that Isaac Ingram.
Notes for John Cox & Lucinda (Family)

Census
1850 census of Morgan Co,. Ky, enumerated 17 Sep, lists on p. 131 as family #859:
John C. Lewis, 24, farmer, b. Ky; Lucinda, 21, b. Ky; Sarah, 5, b. Missouri; James, 3, b. Missouri; Mary E., 3/12, b. Ky.
The preceding household is headed by John’s parents, and the following one by his brother James.
1860 census of Morgan Co., Ky, enumerated 24 July, lists on p. 84 as family #552:
John C. Lewis, 34, farmer; Lucinda, 33; Sarah, 15; James, 12; Mary E., 10; Edmund P., 8; Thomas, 5; John B., 2; Lucinda, 5/12. All born in Kentucky.
It is very likely that Edmund P. Lewis here is not their son, but rather the son of John’s first cousin, William Henry Harrison Lewis and his first wife Elizabeth “Betsy” Henry. W. H. H. Lewis and Elizabeth definitely had a son by that name born in 1852, as evidenced by his birth and death records (both give his parents names), who married Rebecca Law, and yet there is no son Edmund listed with W. H. H. Lewis in the 1860 census, and there do not appear to be two Edmund P. Lewis’s of that age in the birth records or in any of the censuses, so this is unlikely to be a case of two cousins of the same name and similar birthdates. W. H. H. Lewis and Betsy divorced before 1860, and most likely she was unable to support a child on her own.
