His WW I draft registration card, filed 5 June 1917, records Curtis Lewis, age 21, residence Yocum, Morgan Co., Ky, born 26 Feb 1897 in Yocum, Ky, married supporting wife & 1 child.
The SSDI lists Curtis Lewis, born 26 Feb 1895, died Nov 1963, last residence Missouri, SSN issued in Missouri 1951-1952.
The 1900 census lists him as age 4, born Feb 1896, splitting the difference between the above two records. The other censuses are all consistent with a birthdate in early 1896 as well.

Lula’s parents are recorded two households below.
1925 state census of Wabaunsee Co., Kansas, Newbury township, lists as family #32:
Lewis, C.M., 29, hired man on farm; Lula, wife, 25. Both born in Kentucky, and residing in Kentucky prior to coming to Kansas.
Curiously, their children are not living with them. Probably this was a temporary stay to find a farm and set up house, after which they fetched their children.
