His obituary in the Dayton Daily News reported:
“COX, Milton Dwayne age 79 years of Fairborn, Ohio died March 10, 2010 at St. John Skilled Care Center, St. Louis, MO.
He was born on December 27, 1930 a son of the late Newt P. and Anza (Haney) Cox in Morgan County, Kentucky. Milton was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Norma Jane Dyer and Peggy Jones.
He retired from the United States Air Force at WPAFB following 20 years of service. He was a retired fireman.
He is survived by his wife, Alpha (Kiser) Cox of Fairborn; his children, Milton D. Cox ,II of Fredericksburg, VA; Perry Cox of Christens burg, VA; Doug Cox of Charlottesville, VA; Heather Helton of Friendswood, TX; Hunter Cox of Houston, TX; Ktrina Lester of West Liberty, KY and two step-sons Jerry Adkins of Valrico, FL and Dr. Douglas Adkins of St. Louis, MO; a brother, Walton Cox of New Carlisle, OH; two sisters, Wanda Hancock of Huber Heights, OH and Billie Jean Bishop of West Liberty, KY; fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E. Main Street, Fairborn, Ohio 45324 with Eugene Haney officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, Ohio with military services by Wright Patterson Air Force Base Honor Guard. Visitation will be held 2 hours before services on Sunday at the funeral home.”

She passed away on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 at 9:05 AM (After she had her favorite meal of the day, breakfast). She is preceded in death by her Husband: Milton Dwayne Cox (1930-2010); Father: Elzie Kiser (1901-1987), Mother: Mary Alice Webb Kiser (1904-1952). ; Grandfather: James Kiser (1866-1953); Stepmother: Goldie Tolliver Kiser (1924-2001); Brother: Leslie Kiser (1926-2004); Sister: Doris Ann Kiser Gibson (1940-2012). She is survived by; Son, Jerry D. (and Jacquiline) Adkins, Tampa, Florida; Son, Dr. Douglas R. Tiger is now being taken care of by her son Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri. Alpha also loved cooking and was known for her fudge (chocolate, peanut butter, and buckeye), and banana pudding. Her favorite meal was breakfast; she ate little if any meat but loved crispy bacon. She loved her home on Kapok Drive in Fairborn, Ohio which she lived in for over thirty years with Milton Cox, her husband, and raised her sons Jerry Adkins and Douglas Adkins. She was so very proud of her two sons, and her grandchildren. She loved to take long drives with her husband and with her sister Ruby, and on those drives she made sure to pick up some strawberry ice cream, frequently from Young's Dairy. She always loved strawberries. Friends may call in the Burcham Jennings Funeral, 119 E. Main St. Fairborn, Ohio on Monday, January 14, 2013 10AM to Noon where services will be held at Noon. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, Ohio.”
