The Kentucky death index lists Milford B. Whitt, age 78, died 22 Feb 1963 in Morgan Co., residence same.
Be careful not to confuse him with Milford Whitt (18 Feb 1886 - 28 June 1943), son of Allen Whitt and Nancy Whitt, who married Alma Sturgill.

The Michigan death index lists Lanta L. Whitt, born 4 July 1898, died 12 Oct 1976 in Southgate, Wayne Co., Michigan, residence Taylor, Wayne Co., Michigan. (The L probably stands for her maiden name of Lewis rather than a middle name, since she was recorded as Lanta C. Lewis in the 1900 census.)

The occupation for Milford may mean that he worked for the newly formed Social Security Department, which initially was called “Widows and Old Age Pensions”.
