In 1900 he was recorded with his son James as Peter Littleton, 80, b. Nov 1820, widowed.

Maiden name of the wife Polina who is recorded with Simon Peter in 1880 is based on the birth records of their children. This marriage apparently ended in divorce some time between 1880 and 1900, because in the 1900 census Peter is recorded as widowed, but Paulina did not die until 1919.
