Do not confuse her with Elizabeth “Bettie” Florence Rose, born 3 May 1875 in Wolfe Co., daughter of Isaac W. Rose and Derinda “Rinda” Pieratt, who married Daniel F. Fugett, and went mostly by Florence.

Morgan Co., Ky marriage records list the marriage on 17 Feb 1898 of G. L. Rose and Florence Rose, at John Henry’s by W. B. Ragan, witnesses Hiram Grear and Susan Grear.
I am unsure who the groom G. L. Rose would be. There was a Green Lee Rose born in Dec 1879, son of Florence’s grandfather James R. Rose and his second wife Elizabeth A. Cox, but Green would have been Florence’s half-uncle (despite being a month younger), so it is unlikely to be him. I cannot find any other G. Rose in the Morgan/Wolfe/Magoffin Co. area, though. Perhaps there was a slightly younger one, born after the 1880 census, who died before 1900 and thus appears in no census. (Interestingly, though, Hiram Grear age 77 is a neighbor of Green Lee Rose and his wife Mary in the 1900 census, recorded just three households below them, with a daughter Susan age 27. And the 1910 census records Green Lee’s marriage to Mary Bishop as his second. So it is feasible that Florence really did marry her half uncle, and the marriage was dissolved shortly thereafter.)
