“Allie Jr. McClurg, 70, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Litchfield, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Banner Hospice, Mesa.
He was born June 2, 1935, in Eifort, Ohio, to Allie and Laure (Evans) McClurg, Sr.
He married Lois Baker December 16, 1967. She survives.
Mr. McClurg had been employed at Hayes-Albion Corp.; Yardman Co., Jackson; Flint Trucking Co., Litchfield; and retired from the Litchfield Community Schools where he was the maintenance supervisor.
He belonged to the Michigan Club in Arizona and loved fishing, gardening, and family activities. While in Michigan, he enjoyed residing at Lighthouse Village.
In addition to his wife, Mr. McClurg is survived by four sisters, Geneva McClurg and Helen Watson, Judy Kelly, and Lucille Preston of West Virginia; a brother, Jennings McClurg; a grandson, Stephen Robert; nieces, Amy Jurmu and Dusty Shillings; a nephew, Brandit Newman; godchildren Tammy Signor, David Lucas, and John Paul Estep; his mother-in-law, Donna Baker; brothers-in-law, Charles (Brenda) Vanderpool and Cecil (Linda) Kilbourn.
He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen; a daughter DeAnna Lynn; and a brother, Stephen.
Interment followed in Albion Memory Gardens.”
