Notes for Elder Simon Peter Johnson
His death certificate records Simon Peter Johnson (originally entered as S. P. Johnson, and then the remainder of the given names added in later at a slant upwards), age 67 years 10 months 21 days, born 21 June 1862 in Rowan Co, Ky, died 4 April 1930 in Brushy precinct, Rowan Co., Ky, marital status blank, father Ben Johnson, mother’s maiden name Rutha Moore, both born in Ky, cause of death heart trouble, informant blank, burial in Caudill graveyard.
Notes for Lydia Margaret Brown
Her death certificate records Lidia Margret Johnson, age 73 years 3 months 28 days, born 11 Feb 1855 in Elliott Co., Ky, died 7 (or 9) June 1928 in Brushy Fork precinct, Rowan Co., Ky, married, father Steve Brown born in Va, mother’s maiden name Pollie Deheart born in Ky, cause of death nephritis, informant blank, burial on home farm.

The ink is blobby and the day of death number is heavily overwritten, it could be either 7 or 9. The age at death would imply a birthdate of June 8. The burial date says June 8. The date that the certificate was filed is June 10. Most likely the date of death was originally entered as June 9 and her age at death calculated back from that, with a small subtraction error, then the date of death was corrected to June 7, and the age at death not updated to correspond. But it could be that the burial date is wrong instead.
