Marriage of Joel Frantz to Mary Neer on 29 Aug 1846 listed on page 14 of Early Marriage Bonds of Ohio, Book 2, F. through L. Original record on page 41 of Book 3 of the Clark County Probate Court records.

1850 census of Clark County, Bethel twp, page 99, enumerated Aug 6, lists this family as #674:
Joel Frantz, 27; Mary, 28; Anna, 2; Jacob, 6/12. All born in Ohio.

Page 16 of the Dore M. Frantz burials document gives Mary Neher Frantz's lifespan as 22 Jan 1822-20 May 1849. But Lorraine Frantz Edwards, citing "The Neher Family History, Vol. 1, A History of the Lineage of John Neher, 1771-1837 to Present Day" (Wichita, KS: private printing, 1989), p. 40, gives the same birthdate but lists Mary's date of death as 15 Aug 1881. I trust the latter date more, since there are numerous errors in the Dore M. Frantz notes, as Mr. Frantz did not usually distinguish between transcriptions of dates inscribed on stones and his own annotations based on other sources. I do not at the present time know what the basis for the 20 May 1849 date is.
