Notes for Christian Arnold
An Elder of the Wolf Creek Church of the Brethren from 1847 through 1855. Served as a Justice of the Peace. (He performed many of the marriages of other couples in this file.) Dates of birth and death from his tombstone.
Most information on this family from p. 95 of Lester Binnie's The German Baptist Arnolds. Binnie lists Christian & Mary as being buried in the Arnold Cemetery in Perry twp, while p. 39 of the Dore M. Frantz Burials1 record lists them as being buried in Bear Creek Cemetery, Madison twp. (Both records list the same dates.) Until I can check this directly, I am using Lester's data, as he is usually very meticulous, whereas the Dore M. Frantz notes were edited after his death, and there were many cases where it was not clear which notes were for which cemetery.
