This is a placekeeper for the father of Henry Arnold Sr., of whom nothing is known. It is only a guess that he is descended from Johan George Arnold, based simply on J.G.A. being the immigrant ancestor of all the German Baptist Arnolds for whom the immigrant ancestor is known.

Henry could not be a son of Johann George's sons Samuel, Andrew, or John, as their children are known from will and estate records. He may be a son of Daniel, as there is no complete record of Daniel's children, and there is a 7-year gap (1754-1761) in the birth years of Daniel’s known children that exactly coincides with the time that Henry was probably born. Moreover, Daniel raised his family in Pennsylvania, where Henry was probably born based on census data. The problem with this theory, though, is that Henry had no sons or grandsons named Daniel, and Daniel's known children did not name any sons Henry. What is more likely is that Johann George may have had a son named Joseph, Jacob, Abraham or Isaac who could be the father of Henry. (These biblical names are all common as sons or grandsons of Henry as well as of known grandsons and great-grandsons of Johan George. Henry also had sons and/or grandsons named Samuel, Andrew and John.) Or possibly they aren't related at all. I am tying them together only to make it easier to traverse the tree in the database.
