The 1900 census says that "Willie" was born Feb 18843; but most birthdates in that census are fictional.
James Reeder says that he fought in the Spanish American War.
Index to Kentucky Death Records lists John W. Riddle, d. 5 Apr 1961, age 78, in Rowan Co., residence same, certificate Vol. 18, #08720.
His gravestone has years only, 1882-1961.
