1900 census of Floyd Co., Virginia, Burks Fork district, enumerated 6 June, lists on p. 2A as family #22:
Wade, Jacob, 57, b. Apr 1843, Va/Va/Va, farmer; Martha, wife, 50, b. Feb 1850, WV/Va/Va, married 31 years, mother of 4 children, 4 living; Ona, dau, 20, b. May 1881, Va/Va/WV.

Kanawha Co. was in the part of Virginia that became West Virginia after the Civil War. It is considered incorrect by today’s standards to enter events that occurred prior to the founding of the state to be in WV, since records will always be found filed according to the jurisdiction at the time the event occurred. But apparently the census enumerators in 1880 and 1900 had different instructions.
