Notes for Nathaniel Pettit Jr.
The LDS Ancestral File mistakenly gives Nathaniel's date and place of death as that of his son, Nathaniel Pettit III, who moved to Canada.
Notes for Elizabeth Heath
John Wurts’ web site lists Elizabeth Heath as being christened 27 Sep 1705 at Hopewell Chapel, Mercer Co., New Jersey, with parents Andrew and Hannah. I think that record is probably for a different Elizabeth Heath, because it would be unusual to be christened at age 13, and Elizabeth can’t be born much later than 1692 considering when her children were born.
Notes for Nathaniel & Elizabeth (Family)
My main source for this family is an article "Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Heath) Pettit of Hunterdon Co., New Jersey", by Frank C. Baldwin, 3200 Grant St., Evanston, Illinois. It includes a lot of detailed source information, which I am not going to copy into my database at this time. Rather, I will just distribute a copy of Mr. Baldwin's article whenever I distribute data on this family.
The birth order for most of the children born after 1717 is uncertain.
