In her father’s will dated May 1931 she is listed as Addie Cornett Cox of Matoka, W.Va.; in her mother’s obituary in Sept 1959, she is mentioned as a survivor, “Mrs. Addie Cox, Bluefield, W. Va.” (Matoaka is about 12 miles north of Bluefield; both are in Mercer Co.)

In the 1930 census of Matoaka, Mercer Co., West Virginia, enumerated 11 April, she is living alone, listed as head of household, but her marital status is shown as married, not widowed or divorced:
Cox, Ada, 39, age at first marriage 22, born and both parents born in Kentucky.

Rowan Co. marriage book 5, p. 215, records marriageon 7 Apr 1905 of James A. Lambert, 20, farmer, residence Leadingham, born and mother born in Elliott Co., father born Virginia, to Attie Cornett, 16, residence Morehead, born and both parents born in Rowan Co., at Brady, Ky, by James E. Stewart, witnesses H. M. Turner and J. R. Shelton.
