F. Stamper, Farmers, Ky, burial in Lee Cemetery.

The reported date of birth is inconsistent with the census record, where she was listed as 9 in 1860 and 18 in 1870. The informant was also uncertain; the date appears to have been originally entered as Feb 30, 1855 and her age as 72, and then overwritten with 71 and Feb 29 after someone realized that Feb 1855 had only 28 days. It is highly unlikely that a 4-year-old would be reported as age 9, so it is most likely that she was born in the previous leap year, 1852.

Morgan Co. marriage records list the union of Isaac F. Stamper and Elizabeth Lee on 18 Feb 1869 by H. C. Caudill at James Banner’s on the Little Sandy River, witnesses H. Lee and Fowler Nickell.

1870 census of Elliott Co., Ky, precinct 1, Sandy Hook, enumerated 25 June, lists on p. 35 as family #211/210:
Stamper, Isaac, 23; Elizabeth, 18; Richard F., 1. All born in Ky.

Isaac’s parents are two households above, and Elizabeth’s three households farther up.
