Notes for Henry Crose
His WWI Draft Registration card, issued in 1917/1918 (the images on Ancestry do not show the side of the card that has the date it was filed), says Henry Crose, age 21, residence Clearfield, Ky, born Sept. 1st, 1897, occupation farmer, employer Abe Crose, father, nearest relative Angeline Crose, wife. (I have not identified this wife.)
Gary D. Lewis listed Henry's birthdate as 19 Sep 1897, apparently from his gravestone, but that is inconsistent with the 1900 census, which lists him as age 8, born May 1892. The 1900 census is terribly inaccurate on dates, with nearly all the months disagreeing with those given on other records, making me believe that the enumerator invented the birthdates, but it is close as most censuses on ages of children, and entering a child under 3 as 8 seems extreme. (There was another Henry Crose in the area, born about 1898 in Morgan Co., son of Strib Crose & Nannie Mize, who married Mary E. Ramey in 1917.)
Index to Kentucky Death Records lists Henry Crose, d. 23 Oct 1986, age 89, in Rowan Co., certificate Vol. 60, #29940, which would also imply a birthdate in 1897.
Social Security Death Index lists Henry Crose, b. 19 Sep 1897, d. Oct 1986, SSN 400-18-7970 issued in KY, last residence Clearfield, KY.
Notes for Estie Ethel Dehart
Her obituary printed in the Ashland Daily Independent ran “Estie Ethel DeHart Crose, age 95, wife of the late Henry Crose of Clearfield, died Thursday in Life Care Center in Morehead.

Notes for Henry & Estie Ethel (Family)
Rowan Co. marriage book 18, p. 93, lists the marriage on 23 June 1925 of Henry Crose, age 26 (which would imply a birthdate in late 1898 or early 1899), widowed, parents Abe & Martha Crose to Esta Dehart, age 20, parents W. H. & Sarah E Dehart, at Crix, Ky, by Wesley Cox, witnesses Willie Moore and Allie Dehart.
