In 1900, Daniel appears as age 5, grandson, with the family of Mastin and Susan (Oakley) Cock. There is a daughter Lilly B. age 22 in the same census with her marital status shown as widowed, whom I assume is Daniel’s mother, although her surname is not listed as McGill.

Her gravestone has her name as Nancy Ellen McGill, with the dates 1905 - 1981.

The Kentucky death index lists Nancy E. McGill, age 75, died 28 Mar 1981 in Rowan Co.

1930 census of Rowan Co., Wagoner precinct, enumerated 2 Apr, lists on sheet 1A as family #8:
