This family is in my database primarily to document that there were two Harrison Gardners in Fleming Co. with a daughter named Sarah born about 1861 to 1862. In order to figure out which Sarah Gardner with a father Harrison married William Andrew Pettit, I had to trace the marriage of this Harrison’s daughter Sarah to James Newman.
