"Ardith Wendell Petitt, 19, drowned Monday at the swimming pool at Kentucky Christian College, where he was a student. The victim was the son of Harlan and Ollie Petitt, and stepson of Cliff Parker of Farmers, Rowan Co. Wendell had made his home at Farmers with his mother and step-father since he was three years old. His father passed away while he was in infancy."
